冘 Topics:

Side A: One thousand years later, man will still be living on the earth.

Side B: One thousand years later, man will be living on the other planet.

冘 Activity time: After learning lesson 66

冘 Purpose: By knowing about the problems that man are facing now, the students are encouraged to think about the ways to solve them. This task is mainly to stimulate the students imagination and creation.

冘 Materials: A survey table, video tapes , A Chinese-English Dictionary

冘 Language skills: listening , speaking , writing.

冘 Operation process:

1.Pre-task

刢 The teacher divide students in groups, four or five a group. Then arrange the task.

刢 The students inquire their neighbours to find out the main problems that man are facing now in their lives .

刢 Group members exchange their ideas ,discuss and then write

a report.

2. While-task

刢 group report their investigation.

刢 According to the different opinions , the teachers divide the students into two big groups.

刢 Each group will be given a short time to discuss and list their strong arguments.

刢 Each group elaborate their views in turns.

3. Post-task

The students choose the best group which gave the effective points and managed to use the new language learned in this unit.
