二. 句型及日常交际用语

1. Look at these clothes on Mrs Green's clothes line.看这些在格林夫人晾衣绳上的衣服。

句中clothes是复数形式,统指衣服(其中包括外套、裤子等),不特指某一件衣服,无单数形式。形容词性物主代词及some、the或these可修饰clothes。但clothes前不能加数词,不可以说two clothes,three clothes 。

dress作可数名词,常指妇女的外套、连衣裙;也可指男女的外衣。如:my clothes我的衣服,the man in black dress 穿一身黑衣服的男士

词组clothes line意思是“晾衣绳”,表达衣服晾在绳子上时,要用介词on。句中Mrs Green's为名词的所有格形式。

2. What colour is Kate's blouse?凯特的衬衫是什么颜色的?

What colour are Jim's trousers? 吉姆的裤子是什么颜色的?

本课重点复习了第十三单元所学的询问物品颜色的疑问词what colour.还请注意以下三点:

(1)Kate's,Jim's都是名词所有格形式;

(2)shirt与blouse的区别:男式衬衫要用shirt表示,而女式衬衫用blouse表达;

(3)trousers(裤子)一词在英语中要用复数形式来表达。因一条裤子有两只裤筒,故“一条裤子”不应译成a trousers,而应译成a pair of trousers,“两条裤子”不是two trousers,而是two pairs of trousers,如:

My trousers are black. 我的裤子是黑色的。

英语中shoe(鞋)也常以复数形式shoes出现。但有时也可用单数表示一双鞋中的一只。如:

-What colour are your shoes? -They're red.

你的鞋是什么颜色的?是红色的。

One shoe is here. Where is the other one? 一只鞋在这。另一只在哪儿呢?

3. Whose is this shirt? 这件衬衫是谁的?

whose的中文意思为“谁的”,是引导特殊疑问句的疑问词,常对名词性物主代词、形容词性物主代词及名词所有格形式进行提问。

whose与who's的异同:

(1)读音相同,都读作[hu:z]

(2)意义、用法不同。whose可单独使用,也可与名词连用,表示“谁的……东西”;而who's=who is(是谁)

whose在句中的用法举例如下:

Whose is this coat? 这件衣服是谁的?

Whose shoes are they?它们是谁的鞋?

4. Let me have a look, please. 请让我看一看。

此句是当需征求对方意见后要看某物时的用语。如:

- Wei Fang, is this your bag? 魏芳,这是你的书包吗?

-Let me have a look , please. 让我看看。

5. You must look after your clothes.   你应照看好你的衣服。

句中look after为动词词组,译为“照顾、照看”。如:

Please look after your books. 请照看好你们的书。

must意思是“必须、一定”,与can都属于情态动词,后面跟动词原形,无人称、数的变化。如:

I can see a kite in the picture. 我能在图片里看见一只风筝。

He must look after his bag. 他必须看管好自己的书包。

6. Put it on, please。请把它穿上。

动词词组put on是“动词+副词”的形式,强调动作,意思为“穿上、戴上”。注意:若名词作宾语时,放于短语中间、后面都可;若代词作宾语时,必须放在put on 的中间。如:

Put your coat on, please./Put on your coat, please. 请穿上你的外套。

用代词it作宾语,只能使用Put it on, please.最易错误地写成Put on it, please.

7. It looks like yours. 它看起来像是你的。

当第三人称单数it,she,he作主语时,后接的动词要做变化,即动词后加s称为动词的单数形式。如:

She looks like Lucy. 她长得像露茜。

Li Ping puts on his trousers. 李平穿上了他的裤子。

Whose blouse is this? 这是谁的衬衣?

Whose shoes are these? 这些是谁的鞋?

上两句与第54课的Whose is this shirt? 一句对比可知疑问词whose有两种用法。

(1)对名词性物主代词及不接名词的所有格提问时,whose常单独充当特殊疑问词。如:

The brown shoes are his.那双棕色的鞋是他的。(划线提问)

Whose are the brown shoes?

That blouse is Kate's. 那件衬衣是凯特的。

Whose is that blouse?

(2)对形容词性物主代词和后接名词所有格提问时,whose后必须加名词才可充当疑句词,不能单独使用。如:

It is Jim's pen. 它是吉姆的钢笔。

Whose pen is it?

Those are Mr. Green's trousers.那是格林先生的裤子。

Whose trousers are those?

8. Let me see. 让我想想

Let me see.有两种意思。一是“让我看看”,另外一个是“让我想想”,故应该通过上下文来确定其意义。如:

--Li Lei, is this your book? 李雷,这是你的书吗?

--Let me see, please. 请让我看看。

--What's her name? Do you know? 她叫什么名字?你知道吗?

--Let me see. Oh, her name is Lucy. 让我想想,噢,她的名字叫露西。

9. 语音

[a:]字母a在s(s)前及字母组合ar在单词中的读音,如:car,classroom

[au]字母组合ou和ow的读音,如:now,brown,blouse

[R:]字母组合or,oor读此音,如:morning,floor

[E:]字母组合ir,er的读音,如:bird,shirt,her

[E]位于词尾的字母组合er的读音,如:father,ruler,daughter.

以上为元音。本课只需学习一个辅音,字母组合sh在单词中的发音为[F],如:she,shoe,English。
